Dangerous Season
Discovery Channel documentary
Director of Photography
Produced by Kurtis Productions for Discovery Channel, 2008
After a decade working as a member of Yosemite National Park’s rescue team (YOSAR), I spent one more season working with the team – this time with a camera. The resulting Discovery Channel documentary “Dangerous Season” provided an inside look at how one of the world’s premier technical rescue team’s does its job.
Notes: read a short personal account of one major rescue not portrayed in the Discovery Channel documentary.

Climbing Ranger in Yosemite National Park after studying philosophy at Yale before telling stories with cameras = sees the world as a jungle-gym, believes questioning one’s beliefs is as important as the beliefs themselves, and openly admits to loving his life
Was recently inspired by Banksy, and The Waiting Room
It’s not the camera; it’s where you point it. But he tends to like ARRI, Canon, Sony, and kneepads.
